Welcome to Early Reading and Phonics in Tansley Primary School. Here you will find information about the layout and format of phonics; the progression of word reading to comprehension; how VIPERS aid Year 2 children's reading comprehension skills and how parents/carers can further support children's reading development at home.
in 2024, Tansley Primary School became an official Read, Write, Inc. School. Our school has had extensive phonics training and worked closely with a phonics advisor to ensure our phonics curriculum is delivered effectively and to a high standard.
