Our School App (Arbor)

We’ve chosen Arbor to help us manage our school. Arbor is a simple, smart and cloud-based MIS (Management Information System), which helps us work faster, smarter and more collaboratively as a school. The Parent App and Parent Portal mean we can keep you informed about your child’s life at school in a much more accessible way. 

 

The Parent Portal works on Google Chrome (computer or laptop) and you can download the Parent App from the App Store or Google Play Store on your phone (Android 5.0; iOS 10.0 and upwards).

 

What You Can Do with Arbor

Once your account is activated, you’ll be able to:

  • View your child’s profile and attendance
  • Receive school communications
  • Make payments for school dinners, trips and wrap around care
  • Book parents evenings

 

Getting Started

If you haven’t activated your account yet, it’s quick and simple:

  1. Download the Arbor app on your device
  2. Use your email address (the one registered with the school) as your username
  3. Click ‘Forgot your password?’ to set up your account

 

If you need help setting up your account or have any questions, please contact the school office.

 

Instructions for adding a safe sender if emails are going to your junk folder

Please check the junk folder in your email app to check you are receiving all the communication which are being sent out by the school through Arbor. The instructions below will show you how to stop email being moved to your junk folder.

 

Please add the following to the safe sender list: 

Lea - info@lea-pri.derbyshire.sch.uk and no-reply@mail.arbor-education.com

Tansley - info@tansley.derbyshire.sch.uk and no-reply@mail.arbor-education.com

Wessington - info@wessington.priderbyshire.sch.uk and no-reply@mail.arbor-education.com

 

How to approve a sender in Outlook

  1. Open the settings menu in Outlook.
  2. Go to Email > Junk Email > Senders.
  3. Press ‘add safe sender’.
  4. Enter the email address of the sender who is being put into the junk folder and click ‘ok’.

 

How to approve a sender in Gmail

  1. Open Gmail and log in to your account.
  2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
  3. Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  4. Click on "Create a new filter."
  5. In the "From" field, enter the email address you want to add to the safe senders list.
  6. Click "Create filter" at the bottom of the form.
  7. Check the box next to "Never send it to Spam."
  8. Click "Create filter" again to save your settings.
