Learning, Enjoying, Achieving

Curriculum Enrichment and Cultural Capital

All children have many strengths and blossom at different times in different areas.  We endeavour to give children as many opportunities to enjoy, learn and achieve both in school and in life as a British Citizen.  We try to enrich the curriculum and make it as broad and balanced as possible whilst at the same time teaching children skills for life.

The document attached gives you an idea of some of the Cultural Capital activities that have taken place throughout the school year.

Curriculum Enrichment:

We have introduced and extended curriculum for our children.  Our aim is to further equip our children with life-skills and aspirations for the future.  We want them to have opportunities to learn about real life; life beyond an everyday school curriculum.  This extended curriculum will take placed on a Friday morning with Miss Hill.

We plan to incorporate as many visitors and visits for the children as possible and to link to current events, British Values and living in a modern Britain, keeping safe, environmental issues and charity work.

See the list attached for the topics we are hoping to cover this year.
