Homework

The responsibility for a child’s educational development is a shared one. Parental involvement from an early age makes a significant difference. It must be recognised that parents play a vital role in the education of their child, therefore it is very important to have a good home-school partnership. All spelling and times tables tests will be carried out in their homework books so that you can see how they are getting on and the progress they are making.

We have decided as a Federation that we want to use homework to reinforce and enhance children’s learning – practice will promote the development of cognition and metacognition.  and we aim that it compliments outside commitments rather than replace. We value the ‘whole child’ and strongly encourage outside clubs and societies as these allow a child to grow, develop and find their interests and strengths.
