Daily Timetable
We understand that children thrive on routine and therefore we follow a simple daily timetable to ensure children begin to have expectations of life within playgroup and can therefore become confident learners in our environment.
| Time | Activity |
| 9.15am | Morning Session Starts - Children arrive and self-register using the welcome board in the entrance porch, they settle in, independently selecting activities which have been set out by the playgroup staff. |
| 9.45am | Free Play and Adult Led Activities - including free flow outside play. Children move around activities freely, staff observe and record and support learning as appropriate. |
| 10.00-11.00am | Cafe Style Snack Time - children freely help themselves to a variety of healthy foods. |
| 11.00am | Story Time - children are split into age appropriate groups, staff members share stories, songs and rhymes etc. |
| 11.20am | Gross Motor Play - whole group access outside play where possible, equipment includes a slide, see-saw, bikes and tricycles, role play toys, dressing-up etc. In poor weather conditions the group may use indoor climbing frame, group dance sessions, gymnastic play and music and movement sessions. |
| 11.50am | Tidy Up Time - children and staff tidy away gross motor equipment. |
| 12.00pm | Show and Tell Time - staff and children go into the quiet area and individuals share special items such as toys, creations or special news with the group. |
| 12.15pm | Home Time for Morning Session/Lunchtime Crossover |
| 12.15pm - 12.45pm | Lunch Time - children wash their hands and sit together for lunch. |
| 12.45pm | Afternoon Session Starts - free play adult led activities including free flow outside play. Children move around activities freely, staff observe and record and support learning as appropriate. |
| 1.45pm | Cafe Style Snack Time - children freely help themselves to a variety of healthy foods. |
| 2.45pm | Story Time - children are split into age appropriate groups, staff members share stories, songs, rhymes etc. |
| 3.00pm | Gross Motor Play - whole group access outside play area where possible, equipment includes a slide, see-saw, bikes and tricycles, role play toys, dressing-up etc. In poor weather conditions group may use indoor climbing frame, group dance sessions, gymnastics play and music and movement sessions. |
| 3.35pm | Tidy Up Time - children and staff tidy away gross motor equipment together. |
| 3.40pm | Show and Tell Time - staff and children go into the quiet area and children share special items such as toys, creations or special news with the group. |
